Choose Your Pendant - Scottish Poison Bottle Blue Sea Glass Small Pendants In Sterling Silver (With 18 Inch Sterling Silver Wave Chain)

Treasures from history - this azure blue (which my camera doesn't like, the colour is much more vibrant in real life) would have come from Victorian poison bottles, often with the words "DO NOT TAKE" or "NOT TO BE TAKEN" super imposed on the sides of the glass. These bottles would likely have contained arsenic or mercury. Once empty, these medicinal bottles would have been thrown into the sea and discarded of. As the super imposed words have more friction than smooth glass while in the sea (hitting off rocks etc), these letters are usually the first to be smashed off, leaving smooth sea glass behind, a century or more later. From the pharmacist to the sea!
