Texture Of The Sea | Seaham Turquoise Ultra Inner Bubbles Sea Glass Chunky T-Bar Necklace In Sterling Silver

Like oxygen bubbles rising from kelp forests, this one of a kind horizontal sea glass necklace is a treasure from the iconic beaches of Seaham.

The bubbles inside may have come from the breath of a glass blower, as every single piece of glass manufactured on the Durham coastline was handblown. This piece would have been discarded due to its bubbles. It is also possible that this may once have been an apprentice piece, mixed incorrectly, hence the bubbles. Whatever happened to this glass, it contains a story we will never know, a fingerprint of history. 

Inside this sea glass piece are innumerable detailed bubbles, just like the video shown on the day of collection. The back of this pendant is exposed to allow light to pour through, illuminating all the bubbles.
