Gemstone and diamond ring making course in sterling silver (2 spaces only, beginner friendly) - 30th July at 10am - 2.30pm
This is a fantastic course for those wishing to make their own gemstone rings! In this course you will make two different rings using two different methods - bezel setting and tube setting.
We will have a wide assortment of gemstones to choose from for your first ring where you will be taught bezel setting and for your second ring you will tube set a 2mm diamond ring. Both rings will be made entirely from scratch from start to finish and you will walk away with two rings to fit your own fingers. You will also be taught granulation and texturing silver.
You will also learn how to make a ring band from scatch, soldering, using a jewellers saw, picking and polishing.
This course is beginner friendly and the course tutor Laura will demonstrate, provide assistance and teach you throughout the whole process.
The course is fun, informative and informal - tea, coffee soft drinks and nibbles will be provided. There is a bathroom on site.
Good to know:
The course is for 18 years up (however, we may accept responsible 15-17 years olds and a parent or guardian must stay with them during the whole course).
The course will take place in our Glasgow shop. The course may also run on a little past the scheduled time. Please do arrive on time.
Please arrive with hair tied back and short sleeves if possible.
There is no parking on site but parking is readily available in the local area.
No other people or animals are allowed in while the course is commencing, except in the case of parents or guardians.
The course is non refundable once paid.
