Moon Grey Scottish Sea Glass T Bar Necklace In Sterling Silver

Of all the colours of sea glass we have in our Glasgow shop (which must amount to the tens of thousands at this point), nothing quite feels the same as grey sea glass and the thrill of finding it on various beaches never dims. It always just feels so utterly special and other worldly. 

Grey sea glass of this thickness typically comes from old television screens circa 1969 which means that there is a real and viable possibility that someone, somewhere, could have watched the live transmission of the 1969 moon landing through this very piece of, now, sea glass. This colour and density of glass was used in old cathode TV sets during this time period. As a believer in aliens, and a lover of the moon, grey sea glass represents a lust for something else not on this world that perhaps all of us crave to some degree. 

The chain length on this T - bar chain is 18 inches and is a beautiful thickness for an everyday statement piece. The sea glass measures about 4cm in height.
