Beach Gosling | Huge Chick Coloured Seaham Sea Glass Egg Ring In Sterling Silver With Thick Hammered Band | UK Size R, US Size 8.5

A stunning sea glass egg from the historic Seaham shoreline in a precise mixture of oystercatcher chick colour and gosling colour. This ring may be big but it is not overly massive or heavy and would suit perfectly for everyday wear. 

While I have a large collection of this type of sea glass from Seaham and in this colour - I can only speculate that it comes from decorative glassware such as ornamentation - I have yet to nail down the exact product produced from this glass but I typically only find it in large eggs like this. I could also speculate that perhaps a product en masse went into production and was later scrapped. This sea glass contains selenium and trace elements of lead (which is absolutely safe to wear and get wet, the chemicals are inside the glass, only the dust would be dangerous, which will never happen).
